Support
Start with the translation method and page type
Most issues come from browser support, first-time model downloads, AI endpoint settings, or restricted browser pages.
On-device translation is unavailable
Use Chrome 138 or newer on desktop and click the page-edge button directly on a normal webpage. Edge, mobile browsers, and unsupported language pairs can use an AI provider instead.
The language model will not download
Stay online and retry. Enterprise policy may disable Chrome's built-in models. Switch to OpenAI or a compatible provider if the model remains unavailable.
The AI provider cannot connect
Recheck the Base URL, API key, and model, then allow access to that endpoint's exact origin. Use Test connection in settings before translating a page.
Some content is not translated
Navigation, forms, code, Canvas, SVG, media, and hidden content are intentionally skipped. Report incorrectly excluded main content with a public test URL and minimal steps.
The page-edge button is missing
chrome://, extension stores, browser-internal pages, and some protected pages block content scripts. Reload the extension and test a normal HTTP or HTTPS page.
Results or settings look stale
Clear the translation cache or reset settings from the options page. After changing provider, model, or target language, clear the cache before retesting unexpected output.
